What a hidden gem! Booked a night short notice whilst travelling through France. The rooms are simple, some would say dated but oozing with rustic charm and the price reflects. Clean and functional, cared for. What you must do though is book a table for dinner - the quality is outstanding. Merci Chef!

Driving down to Spain we needed a place to stop for the night and booked L’Auberge de Lacos quite by chance! OMG, what an absolute gem of a place. If you are looking for 5 star luxury, this is not for you. If you want a delightful, genuine French treat, look no further. We were made to feel very welcome and our room was both clean and comfortable. However, the true highlight was dinner that evening. Cooked by the proprietor it was exceptional a true gastronomic delight. Do stay if you ever get the chance.

Basic rooms above a restaurant. The food at the restaurant was very good French cuisine and delicious. The shrimp risotto and fish steak with crème brûlée were wonderful. Dinner was served by many extra free bread and cheese breads and some really delicious potatoe things with salad. We are not used to free accompaniments in Australia.

We stayed overnight in February in this lovely family run auberge in a lovely setting . The Patron was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, a little tired but comfortable and excellent value. Breakfast was delicious with cheese, charcuterie, homemade preserves fresh bread, croissants, fresh orange juice etc. Will definitely return if in the area.

Lovely traditional Auberge with tranquil garden, covered parking for the motorbike. Comfy bed and fantastic food eaten under these amazing trees. Can't wait to go back.
